Sermon: The Eighth Plague: Locusts, Part 1

We have a saying about what happens when the irresistible force meets an immoveable object. That’s similar to what we see here in the plagues of Exodus. The irresistible power of God meeting the immoveable pride of Pharaoh.

Of course, God would overpower Pharaoh in the end, so the irresistible force wins. And Pharaoh’s immoveable object isn’t that immoveable, in fact, God has to harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he can accomplish his purpose in Pharaoh.
